BRI is working with four schools in which BRI has placed a BRI principal.

The district in which each school resides enters into a three-year Memorandum of Understanding with BRI that spells out the parties' respective responsibilities.  BRI commits to pay the salary and associated costs of the principal and other personnel, including a BRI Literacy Coach, as well as the costs of literacy materials, Accelerated Reader and testing costs.  On the district's part, it commits to grant the principal authority over key issues such as personnel, curriculum, discipline, scheduling, grading and retention policies, etc.
