Principal Impact Fellowship

During this school year, an exclusive cohort of Mississippi principals and leaders will come together for professional development, problem-solving, and the opportunity to be awarded a $10,000 innovation grant for their school.

Our sessions will be led by Dr. Michael Cormack, Maia Heyck-Merlin, author of The Together Leader, and other experienced leaders in education, politics, and turnaround leadership. We want to create a fellowship experience that focuses on collaboration with peers, recruitment and retention of teacher talent, and turnaround leadership. We will have a special emphasis on the often-forgotten skills of principal leadership, such as organization, time management, and policy advocacy. For more information, read our informational brochure linked here.

If you would like to be a part of this fellowship, apply here. The deadline to apply is August, 15, 2016. Contact Krystal Cormack at krystal.cormack@teachforamerica.org to learn more about this joint effort between Teach For America Mississippi and The Barksdale Reading Institute.
